Escaping Our Mortality is a 8 by 11 Landscape Art Quilt. Life is pointless unless there is a part of us, the spirit, the soul, that escapes this world and registers our real significance in the next world, as God sees us.

In my art piece you see the album of those Kodak moments, representing our lives on earth... who we are and what we do. The book is heavy and weighing us down with ego. Our spirit cannot escape. As the photos are shed and fall from the album, the book becomes lighter and lighter and begins to float, then fly. Shed of ego, what is inside of me, what makes me, me... soars!
