Ms Jeanine Rivard Malaney Pagosa Springs, Colorado Artist
Jeanine studied art in college while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Theoretical Mathematics from Indiana University. She completed graduate work in Computer Science and enjoyed an exciting twenty years in aerospace engineering with Lockheed Martin. She ended this career early to pursue her passion for art. She has studied painting with Pierre Mion (illustrator for National Geographic), Tom Lockhart (Signature Member of Oil Painters of America and Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters) and Stephen Quiller (Signature member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society).
Jeanine creates watercolors, oils, and mixed media fabric paintings. She has taught several classes on her techniques and published three illustrated books. Jeanine enjoys painting plein air, hiking, bible study, volunteer work, and donating art to community and charitable causes. She and husband Dale have five children and five grandchildren.
