Albert Squirrel My husband and I built a cabin in Forest Lakes, Arizona on a heavily forested acre at 8000feet. We worked weekends and vacations for 8 years to complete the inside; great fun and valuable escape from the city and the stress of engineering. We retired and moved there full time in 1999. We had many critters, including elk, deer, fox, porcupine, bluejays and many other birds. But our most frequent visitors were the squirrels; a cousin to the Kaibab, the Albert squirrel has the tufted ears and white belly and tail. They are quite entertaining, chasing each other through the trees, taking peanuts from our hand, sometimes burying them for a winter cache. Happy memories.
